PENGARUH PENERAPAN MEDIA POP-UP BOOK TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI FAKTA DAN OPINI DI KELAS IV SD NEGERI 075113 FABALIWA

This research is motivated by the elementary school learning process, which still tends to be teacher-centered, causing students to be less active in constructing understanding, particularly on the topic of fact and opinion in Grade IV of SD Negeri 075113 Fabaliwa. This condition resulted in suboptimal student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the difference in learning outcomes between the class using Pop Up Book media and the class using conventional media, as well as the effect of applying Pop Up Book media on students' learning outcomes on that topic. This is a quasi-experimental study using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all 32 Grade IV students of SDN 075113 Fabaliwa, with class IVA as the experimental group and class IVB as the control group, each consisting of 16 students. Data were collected through observation and multiple-choice tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests, which were first trialed at SDN 078011 Tetehosi to determine validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discriminating power. The results showed that the pre-test mean score was 34.0 for the experimental class and 30 for the control class, while the post-test mean score increased to 74.6875 for the experimental class and 48.125 for the control class. The Paired Sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), meaning Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It can therefore be concluded that there was a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two classes, and that the application of Pop Up Book media had a significant effect on students' learning outcomes on the topic of fact and opinion in Grade IV of SD Negeri 075113 Fabaliwa.
